Our vision is to promote wellness and connection through the power of art—making creative expression accessible to everyone, whether in group settings, one-on-one, or through our expanding partnerships across San Diego County.
Artful Mind envisions a thriving, inclusive art community where creativity supports mental wellness. Through our studio and mobile outreach, we bring accessible, therapeutic, creative art experiences to those facing mental health and disability challenges—free or low-cost.
Our classes offer safe spaces to reduce anxiety, improve mood, and build social connections while adding to your art toolbox. Participants are encouraged to explore their creativity, develop artistic and professional skills, and showcase their work in community art shows.
At Artful Mind, we believe art is transformation. Through every brushstroke, individuals find confidence and build hope.
Our Mission
The mission of Artful Mind is to significantly improve the mental health and well-being of adult community members experiencing mental illness through the engagement of therapeutic enrichment art services and exhibitions.
Our Story
Artful Mind evolved after Jessica began the Art Shows in 2022 at the County of San Diego. While working with adults living with mental illness, Jessica witnessed art being used as a common tool to help navigate difficult symptoms, work through traumas, and instigate healing. It became evident there was not accessible platform in San Diego to showcase art where people could share intimate experiences around their mental health journeys. Jessica's desire to aide San Diego's vulnerable populations with her passion for art, strengths in empathy and connectedness, makes Artful Mind a safe space to create and show art.

Jessica Greiner founded Artful Mind in May 2023 after merging her dedication to helping those in need with her passion for art. Jessica's career in the mental health field over 28 years includes all life spans as a public servant through the State of MA and the County of San Diego and as an individual therapist in MA. She also practices

Jessica's career in the mental health field over 28 years includes all life spans as a public servant through the State of MA and the County of San Diego and as an individual therapist in MA. She also practices art in her spare time while managing a single parent household. Jessica holds a M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from Suffolk University and a B.S. in Psychology from Penn State University.
